Jim MacKenzie
October 25, 1962 - September 30, 2009

Unexpectedly at the Hamilton General Hospital on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the age of 46. No words can express the loss felt by his wife and best friend, Kim, of 30 years. With losing the love of her life, everthing is forever changed. A hole is left in the hearts of his children, Tanya and Ben and Krystina and Graeme. Left behind to mourn his loss is his mother Patricia MacKenzie and predeceased by his father, Jim MacKenzie Sr. Lovingly remembered by his only sister Debbie Gonzalez and her husband Pat. He will be missed by his nephew Robbie Gonzalez and niece Kayla Richards, who as children brought out the big kid in him. So saddened by this loss are his mother and father-in-law, George and Dorothy Stanley, brother-in-law Darrell Stanley and his wife Monica and sister-in-law Kathy Cox. Predeceased by his brother-in-law Steve Cox. This tragedy has broken the hearts of his very close friends Russ and Cheryl Green, Mike and Trish Andrew, Ross and Debbie Kennedy and Jackie Benvie, who have very special memories of him and countless stories of times they shared that are going to be imprinted in their hearts forever. He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jim was an entertainer to say the least. There was never a visit to the family home, fishing trips, get togethers or just being around him anywhere, in which you weren't laughing. His time here with us was far too short, memories, not enough, kisses, too little and pull-my-fingers too few, this is why the void is going to be so deep. Our most heartfelt thank you's go to his family at the St. Joseph's Hospital, Stoney Creek Dialysis Unit. His years spent there were tolerable only because of Dr. Peter Margetts, the nurses and all of the technicians, there are far too many to list, you know who you are, and you know what you meant to him. Thank you to the Home Dialysis Team, and also to Sue Patel, your attention to Jim and concern for his care will never be forgotten. Visitation will be held at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Monday from 5-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 7pm. Cremation to follow. In kindness, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Ontario would be sincerely appreciated by the family. "Til We Meet Again Dad"
