A true gentleman and much loved husband, father, brother, uncle, son, and friend, Charles left us peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of October 15th, 2009. Predeceased by Ruth, his best friend and companion for 56 years, Charles leaves his daughter Cheryl, sons Allan (Val) and Andrew (Jo-Anne), and grandchildren Adam, Matthew, Amanda and Michael, to cherish his memory. Charles is also remembered by his brother Gerald (Margery), sister Barbara (Ralph), and many nieces and nephews in Ontario and Quebec.

The family welcomes all to a celebration of Charles’ life on Saturday, October 17th, 2009 at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill Street North, Waterdown with visitation from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Memorial Service and reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Red Cross Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
